Azelf/Uxie/Mesprit are simply very rare spawns in their respective regions, I believe since the "biome update" with the new, diverse backgrounds

They already spawned before that, but even more rarely and only ever near water

Yeah both of them are still in raids and I got lucky with Alolan Vulpix since one of the first balloon Rocket Grunts of the event I saw had it

I have my 50% version with 125 cells out of 200 needed for 100%, but I do 1 route per day most days. It just takes such a long time to accumulate the cells. Some days you don't get any and some days you get 2 once I finish my 100%, I'm likely never touching a route again

Not really besides just the walking yeah, if you know any players you could trade&release for extra candy, but there's no way to really boost specific species on any given day besides like biomes+lures

And karp ain't in the rainy lure afaik

Maybe if you live in a populated place you could see if a nests been reported nearby? Idk if it can nest but it'd certainly let you farm them if so

The one good side of Magikarp being your buddy is that you get a piece of candy for each single kilometer you walk. So within a couple weeks you'll be able to evolve it, I typically walk a little over 25 Kilometers a week so really depends on how much you do walk

Pretty sure this person will get banned, so I hope it was worth it. Anyway, I've been skipping GBL for last season and this season so far just because I don't enjoy it. If they ever decide to make positive changes to the mode, I'll try it again, but it's just not worth it for me rn. "If you're not having fun in a game, don't play it" has always been my philosophy, so I just don't touch the mode these days.

I've done a few Cryoganals solo now with 1 mon. A maxed Metagross with like 3k CP can do it, but it takes awhile. First of all, avoid Solar Beam. Any other moves are fine. If it uses Solar Beam, back out and try again. Once you find one without Solar Beam, tank a few hits and then in your first dynamax, use 3 shields and no attacks. After that you use 2 shields and 1 attack every time and you'll be fine and never take anymore damage

Once you get it in range of 3 dynamax attacks, you can do 3 attacks and no shields

But it's basically about not being greedy with attacks. The charged attack does a decent amount anyway, and the shields are more important for most of the battle because all moves outside of Solar Beam do like half of 1 shield, and it usually doesn't attack much more than 6 times per dynamax

Obviously, just getting another person means none of this is necessary, but Cryoganal is definitely soloable if you have Metagross and like 10 minutes to spare

And this is without max mushrooms. If you're willing/desparate enough to use a max mushroom, you make it much easier for yourself too

Seems like the 3 stars might take some attempts or strategies, but so far all are soloable with at least 1 or 2 decent super effective mons

lvl40 dmax Charizard, Gmax Charizard, and Machamp get the job done handily for 3* Cryo

Just remember to lead with the non-Gmax ones and switch into G-max for your big attacks

Yeah my advice was for people who don't have gmax, because if you have gmax mons, you probably live in an area where you don't need to solo cryo

But also gmax just make it so much easier anyway. My point was that you don't need gmax mons and can still solo

i would wait till you're able to TM frustration off of it during an event, and then be in another event where when it evolves to metagross it gets meteor mash
by then you might find a better one but if not, it's fine to evolve. a 0/0/0 shadow does better damage than a 15/15/15

I think people underestimate how much more dmg shadows do and overestimate how much IVs matter, even in PvP. Like yes, a shadow with more IVs will be better than a shadow with less IVs in PvE, but said above, a shadow at 0/0/0 will be better than a non-shadow at 15/15/15. Also shadow metagross is a really good one for PvE. Was by far the best steel attacker until Dusk Mane Necrozma came out, and a lot stronger than normal metagross, at least until we get Mega Metagross. So having a shadow metagross at all is pretty big. And although the attack IV is low, it's a shadow which means it does a lot more dmg anyway, and 15/15 for hp/def is actually really good anyway because shadows take more dmg. Honestly unless you can get one with high atk and still decent hp/def, I'd say this is good to upgrade. Obviously no point doing anything until you can get rid of frustration though

Yeah, Dragonite's best use is ML, but you also will want to raise the CP a lot. Honestly, I don't bother doing Master League at all unless I have 2-3 meta mons at level 45-50, because you really have no shot at a certain point. Focusing on Ultra or Great league, especially as a new player, is honestly more consistent and lower investment

Dragonite can be used in Ultra league but in that league the shadow is slightly better and there are also better dragon options at that point. But it definitely works. I think it's 100something in UL and 16th or something close in ML. So ML is the better use for it if you have the candy/stardust

Hey, everyone! Quick question as I'm trying to help my kiddo with POGO. Does the POGO plus+ work well on the go? He gets motion sick when he stares at the screen in a moving vehicle

Yes, pretty well. Only thing to watch out for is that it gets worse the faster you go above like 50mph, but I use it daily. Just driving around and having it on to spin pokestops and catch mons with my phone sitting to the side works great. You'll spin less pokestops if you are also catching mons, but it still does it's job. You can easily turn it on when you get in the car and never touch it until you reach your destination. Pretty satisfying to see what you got when you get to your stop as well.
One thing to note is that you need to reconnect after 30 minutes, but that's as simple as pressing a button on your phone and then putting it to the side again

I also have motion sickness and these days also driving myself, so its a big part of what makes Pogo manageable in the car

I don't think the official one catches new mons, but it let's you know when there's a new mon. It does run with the app in the background, but it's not super consistent. Sometimes it stops working if the app isn't focused, but you can keep the app open and then turn your phone screen off or something and it will still work

The non-official can only use pokeballs though, as opposed to the official letting you use great and ultra balls. And since it throws 1 ball and gives up if you don't catch, the great or ultra balls can be nice. Also, the unofficial ones are in an obviously grey area since they aren't really sanctioned by Niantic, even though they won't ban you for it as far as I can tell

So it's kind of a choice

But yeah, a bunch of companies have been making their own auto catchers for years. I won't say any names though. You can find them with a bit of searching. Most of them work similarly

Any route you go though, an auto catcher is definitely a good investment if you or your family plan to play regularly. I'd definitely reccomend. The stardust and xp you get is already a big deal, compared to what you'd get normally.
