I got mine. 4th or 5th evolution I think. Can confirm the image/silhouette does not change. It shows the 4 fam, but evolved into 3 fam

Yeah, before you evolve it, the picture it shows on the evolution button and in the evolution confirmation screen shows the 4fam. It seems like it does the random check DURING the evolution process, so there's no way to know if it's 3fam until you evolve it completely

Like the game seems to view all tandemaus as the same, and it only does the random check after you confirm the evolution

I think it really depends on whatever theme they're doing and just what they feel like. A few months at the earliest usually. Within a year is a good bet, but not certain
