You'll need to prioritize what you have and use or toss some things. If your play style is more catch than raid or fight grunts lower the number of potions you have, especially the lower tier ones. Consider only keeping a couple of evolution items on hand, at least until you get enough gym coins to get more bag space. Use rare candy instead of keeping it; you don't have to power anything up with it, just give it to something that you know you'll power up later (eventually you'll power up a good Mewtwo even if you only have a meh one right now, give it the rare candy but hold off on powering it up).

If you use an auto-spinner (like the Pokéball+ or the upcoming GO++) it makes it harder too. It will spin the stop through the Kecleon and render the stop uninteractable for 5 minutes. If there was a lizard you can't even tell for that five minutes.

Exception was the yawn Snorlax event, which were a guaranteed catch on the second throw and the first throw did not count (would not consume a ball). Those were a guaranteed catch with the GO+.

For the Pokémon Plus+, the update I got yesterday seems to help, but going into the accessory device settings and toggling anything seems to help. For the Pokéball+, it is not an auto catcher but to auto spin: a) you need to put a Pokémon in it from Sword/Shield or Let's GO, and sometimes the device thinks it connected but the app doesn't; when that happens disconnect and reconnect.

If there is anything you want to do that involves a long line, consider doing it in a day you don't have a ticket. You won't be able to play while you do so, but if it's several hours to get the meet and greet (or an hour and a half to get your picture with Eevee, of which my niece was jealous) maybe do that on your off day so you're not stuck in place for that time. I wouldn't do the extra raid pass add on next time, but that's because my play style is more walking and less waiting on the raid boss to catch. If you want something like the t-shirt, order it online. The line to buy it in person at Seattle was ridiculous.
