It's fine if they come here and talk for sure, but keep in mind this channel is primarily geared toward the VGC scene, which is current Generation, current rules, etc. Not just competitive pokemon in general.

Well, I was just wondering what a good team loadoat would be for a steel only team. I know that's inherently a bad idea as having all your mons be the same type makes your team VERY vulnerable to it's type weakness, but I've been following those self imposed rules for a literal years now, I ain't stopping now. I just gotta make do with what I've got. Just... Ideally, steel types that arrived in Sw/Sh, or before it.

You can make a team, but a mono-type pre-gen 9 team is going to be rough

Yeah I mean you can get good interactions, but the gag is that Showdown players are ultra-salty, and if it's memetastic then there's rationality behind that claim lol.
And in my personal experience, I've seen far more salt than otherwise, so I don't bother speaking to the folks there.
