If anyone is interested, I could host a practice game tonight: <t:1720994400:F>

We can get on, discuss the rules and try a couple of practice battles to get familiar with the system. This won't be a full story. We can try some roleplay and exploration as well as combat if we wish.

We can use the voice chat on my private Discord server and possible Roll20 for maps and dice rolling.

My apologies, I am going to have to postpone the game. I think studying the rules is going to take more time than I anticipated. I read the KS preview cover to cover, but to understand the rules well enough to run I think will take more than a couple of days.

For sure! I'm just looking to get my feet wet by having a sesh or two as a player before I dive into DMing

Let's all mess up together! I'd be happy to DM a session (I've DM'd a little 5e) but want to try out DC20. I have a good (?) grasp on dc20 things, except for all the player options, combos, etc. I'm Pacific time, but could be available next week maybe Tuesday early afternoon my time (-8 gmt)....

It would be theatre of the mind unless I can get foundry set up in time. I already have a little one shot that could be expanded. But playing together could be a great way to learn the system?

I like your thinking! I've been rereading the rules and I feel a bit better on my grasp of the system. Unfortunately, I can't do Tuesdays. I could likely make any other day work next week.

I'm running my campaign in the dc20 foundry vtt mod. It works really nice and the new update improved a whole lot of stuff. There's a learning curve for the end user but one you get the hang of it its a breeze.

Did you sign up using The Forge? Usually if you're hosting foundry you have to use port forwarding or another method to allow others access. If you just downloaded it and are using it locally, that is different.

I think foundry is great! It's got a lot of features and it's very useful for DND games. I imagine once dc20 support goes through fully it will be a fantastic option as well.
