I’ve played the S5we system. I had a absolute blast with it. It’s actually a pretty fun system. We’ve done 2 Star Wars games with it. The campaign’s sadly got cancelled cause the guy running them would just cancel the whole game at random and disappear for 3 months.

As a grinding maniac I make sure I one shot all things I fight with sheer level advantage and sometimes rely on type. Settings up in PvE is a waste of a turn.
(I do however give a pass to using sunny day for spamming solar beam.)

I remember trying out pvp for the first time seeing the option to decide the nature and ev/iv stuff your pokemon has and feeling like it was a crime to get to choose the one you want. 😂
Felt an ethical dilemma on the level of "designer babies" and eventually calmed myself down with a "these pokemon unlike any I've ever seen are not real pokemon only simulations that exist for the duration of the battle that try to replicate a pokemon's combat abilities."

And don't even get me started on having pokemon in your party that aren't there cause you think they look cool/cute.
