Morning quote
"When you wake up in the morning, tell yourself: The people I deal with today will be meddling, ungrateful, arrogant, dishonest, jealous, and surly. They are like this because they can't tell good from evil."

Manasa
A tribal deity from ancient Bengal whose worship was rejected by the elite religious elite. She represents the goddess of snake and fertility.

One of the common reason was that she was a woman deity from a foreign religion(Bengal tribal religion).

However all these changed with the composition of ManasaMangal Kavya story by multiple Bengali writers during the 13th century.

In the story there existed a wealthy merchant who refused to worship her since she was not in the pantheon of Shiva.

As a result his ships were wrecked and doomed and his sons were killed in her rage.

Only at the request and devotion of his younger son's wife was his younger son able to return from death as he granted him life.

She was also once married to a Brahmin(religious elite) ascetic but his disrespect towards her caused his Brahmanical power to be in vain as the marriage was ended at her will.

The stories also serve a feminist purpose.

that the Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) said: "The wise statement is the lost property of the believer, so wherever he finds it, then he is more worthy of it."

What to do when you get hyper?

When you get hyper it is better to calm down. Do these 3 steps:

  1. Close your eyes.
  2. Take deep breaths 5-10 times.
  3. Try to imagine a peaceful leaf/nature secnary for 15 seconds
#

then afterwards take another deep breath and open your eyes
