Why?
okay so
jkjk idk ive never been to a mental hospital
ig its just a hospital?
Dont go into the shower
heyy i have been there a long time ago, and i know how to deal with this
first you need to clean yourself and take a good bath
second you need to pack some clothes that you love
get some yummy snacks
andd have atleast 1 toy that you love :) like a sketchbook or pen and paper
it's going to be okay and you just need to calm down when you feel overwlemed okay?
you can do this i believe in you <3
that was NOT funny please do not repeat
No insensitive jokes either, watch out your wording, I truly mean it
It can have really awful consequences
This is the third time I caught you, I am being really patient, but there’s limits
Do not show you're ill. Act well and be polite and prove that you are well enough to get out. Dont tell them more than you need to otherwise they will use it against you.
what would you list as the top three things that might concern you about going to this hospital?
im here at the hospital, im so scared
not being home
tysm, im so grateful for this
awh you're too sweet
it's okay to feel that way, you're gonna feel better okay?
Don't sign any paper without reading properly what type of consent you are giving.
If you aren't doing that but someone else is doing on your behalf , then tell them the same.
Real story.
I know a certain person who once supported a very dire patient through their mental hospital visit.
What they did is , they made the patient's gaurdian sign the papers for stay but never told they are taking consent for ECT in the same form.
Later he had to step in and say that the patient is not that dire and they should first try other non invasive methods before jumping to ECT .
Then he realised how sneakily they took the consent for ECT
So 2 things
-
Don't sign any paper without reading
-
Take someone with you who doesn't shy away from standing up and speaking against when the situation calls for.
Oh last
If they allow then
- Make sure there is always one person with the patient at all times. It can be different people in shifts but one person with patient is a must.
