yeah, the thing is though I dont WANT to cry, like the situation doesn't warrant tears, but they still fall.

I think its easier to change your overall life, daily schedule, routines and have that affect your emotions than to try and hold them in, in the moment
You could try journaling and/or meditating at a specific time every day so only during that time frame will you let out your worries/stress/emotions to make the rest of your day easier to manage
I would also recommend having conversations with your partner to try and uncover underlying issues on why you seem to cry so often when it comes to them and how they can help
If you feel like crying, try just talking about and letting it out a little since holding it in would only make the feelings explode later
If you dont think you can talk about it without bursting into tears, take some time apart, walk away and come back later and then talk about it once youve composed yourself

Thank you, I should start journaling, I actually took the time yesterday to send him a voice message when I wasn't so emotional to explain everything Ive stated but of course more in depth, he was super understanding which is definitely helpful, and that's a good idea I should take a step back before responding or reacting immediately and return once composed.
