I've had what I believe to be some kind of condition since June 2025. I've had it checked with doctors a couple of times so far but no problems have been found yet. Below ive decided to write a timeline of what happened so I don't forget anything each time i explain it to someone.

June 2025
This was the first month it appeared. One day I was normal, and then the next my intake doubled from 1700 to about 3500 calories a day. This was the only symptom that appeared at the time

July 2025
I thought it'd be gone by this point but it wasn't, and this was also the first time I needed new shoes. I went from a uk 8 to 9 this time

August 2025
This was the first time I noticed other symptoms appearing. Mainly just a loss of coordination, nothing severe though. I also grew out my shoes again and then again at the end of the month, being at an 11 by the end of the month. I also started to eat more reaching around 4000 calories a day on average.

September 2025
This was when stuff started to get a bit worse. I randomly started getting very warm at times, usually after eating. Also, if i ate too quickly i could get quite nauseous.

October 2025
During this period it got worse again, i started averaging about 6000 calories a day and i also had a 2 week period where id feel like i was going to faint the whole day, and did momentarily once or twice. It was also during this period that id noticed id gone from about 6'0 to 6'3. There were also periods where id suddenly go very cold, and i couldnt really function at all on a normal amount of food.

November 2025
it started to ease off a bit here, and i started eating a bit less, probably averaging about 5000. I didnt get ill at all, and i slept a bit better too.

December 2025 - January 2026
It eased off more here, i didnt get ill at all, and everything besides the eating disappeared.

february 2026
Towards the end of january everything came back, just as bad as it was during october. I started eating more than i ever had

#

at about 7000 calories a day, and at some ambiguous period from october to february outgrew my shoes a bunch more, as of now im at a uk 15, and im about 6'4 now as well. The fainting came back too, and my coordination is also bad now.

#

What's been checked so far

#

Ive been to the doctor a few times recently, so some stuff has been ruled out.

Its not a tapeworm, its not a virus, its not a deficiency, its likely hormonal. Its probably not diabetes.

#

Ill add to this list as other causes are ruled out

#

Other things to note

#

Theres a chance this is just something to do with puberty because i didnt really experience anything like this before and ive had other changes, however i find it to be unlikely as the majority of what happened is after 18

#

I'm also quite active, so the intake isnt too surprising. During november i started sprinting, climbing 3-4x a week and going to the gym 5 times a week. I also tend to do around 17.5k steps a day on average and dont really sit still

Also the reason i eat this much is because im constantly starving. Its not a want, its physical hunger. It never really goes away, but i can still get sick of a food. If i dont eat long enough it can stop me sleeping.

#

If anyone has any questions, id be fine to answer them/include them in the description. Itd be very convenient if i found out what this actually is.

@fluid hearth reading all that, I do feel it could be hormonal. dont think negative of it. get a hormonal test yes but dont overthink this

I dont have anything productive to say but I wonder. 7000cal a day???

#

How do you even get that to work. thats like a week of supplies for me

#

How does one manage to accumulate so many calories in the first place?

fluid hearth
#

there were a couple of times i completely ran out of money

#

on higher days going to an all you can eat buffet is a very good option, but i usually cant get that opportunity often

#

honestly, i do sometimes struggle to even buy that much without considering the money

#

i usually have breakfast twice and lunch once by about 11am, and when im in univeristy it can be pretty much impossible to fit that around lectures

#

ask ur doc what hormones are being checked for, alot of times they are kinda dumb so they test inconclusivly

fluid hearth
#

thatll be next time if doing what they advised this time doesnt work
