#How to train grip strength

You don't need to train grip strength if your grip form while lifting and hanging is good and you are doing progressive overload
True true
You would only be wasting extra time .
Deadhangs are a great start, probably the best. any forearm exercises would work as well like forearm curls. I dont think grip strength is a waste of time to train because its one of the most practical ways to use your muscles.
Will take into consideration, thank you for the input
no not necessarily
you can train grip if you want to
its fine
or you could not use straps on back movements
grip strength is like every other strength
its heavily related to cns output and neuromuscular efficiency
and adaptations
also @cedar ledge just do what diaz said, and farmer carries work too. weighted deadhangs with a weightbelt are also good
I think Im gonna stick with deadhangs for now🧟♂️
Thank you for the advice though, once my grip is stronger I'll use weight
ye
deadhangs are pretty good in that theyre a very easy static hold
what i mean by this is unlike planche you can add weight like weighted calisthenics since its a basic
so for grip STRENGTH maybe go for 10 sec holds with weight once you can
and then work your way up and up
thing about static holds for strength though is that with seconds as the failure or basically intensity measure
youre gonna be having lots of variance
ie one day you get 30 seconds, one day 33, another day 29
it just differs like that
How much weight would you recommend
honestly depends
id say load up what you can do for 10 seconds if you want strength ish
but
yeah
just progressively go up in weight hntil you reach that
Aight bet will try over the weekends
Training forearms help a lot! Wrist curls for example have helped me, you could research more on forearm training
Aight bet twin, thanks
hes right yeah wrist curls are good for tendon strength
If u want to train proper usable grip. Hang towels from the bar, and hold onto those while hanging. It’s a lot harder lol
