what do you mean "quit" your "adhd symptoms"
I can’t avoid my Worried Talking in my mind
Well, you can't ever "stop" ADHD, But maybe try telling yourself everything's okay, even when you don't have worried talking
If someone can just quit adhd then adhd won't exist
Oh
Everyone's set of "answers" is going to be unique to them. People can help guide you to find your answers, but we can't tell you what they are because we don't know.
I believe you are correct to try to change your behaviors that are concerning you. Getting a mental health diagnosis does not necessarily mean you are doomed to be that diagnosis.
The medical providers I worked around looked to the techniques taught in Cognitive Behavioral Therapy for someone to help adjust their thought patterns and beliefs in order to better function
Judith S. Beck wrote a very readable book called "Cognitive Behavioral Therapy: Basics and Beyond". You don't have to read the whole book. If you're interested in reading it you can dm me.
The gist of CBT is to pay close attention to your thoughts leading up to the negative thought or action and how you feel because of it. Then, after doing that for a while, you try to understand whether you have a broken core belief that needs repaired.
There are worksheets made to help you write it all down every time you have those undesirable thoughts or behaviors. Makes it a lot easier to go through it later.
