does anyone else have like no memories of childhood, but the ones that are there are fragmented and feel vivid as if they're happening again?

interacted with people who did have a similar issue

#

generally rooted in how trauma impacts awareness which leads to fragmented memory and dissociation

#

to fully know if that is the case it would be useful to try to track more of your history, which Ik sounds just paradoxical since you have the memory problem in the first place but, the more you try to dig the more you can try to validify the proper causes

#

in some people it can be partially a neurological issue too, not just trauma, and the symptoms may be very similar, its hard to say

#

But just to clarify - do you mean childhood as in rougly from 4-5 years old to about 11 ? Before that its completely normal for memories to be very rare and fragmented.

but like i said the symptoms could be very very similar even in different conditions, it takes time to have a clear view and often professional judgment is needed
