Personally, I think it's admirable when people have strong resilience towards hardship. But having it as a competition, about who is having it worse than others, who can deal with it better, it is not very favorable. It's toxic and destructive, cause we're normalizing the act of measuring someone's worth through their suffering.

I understand that some people want to get the best validation and acknowledgment towards their efforts, but putting others who struggle differently from you doesn't make anything any better. After all, we're not the same. Me and you, we're not the same people. Even when we say we're in the same hole, we ain't living the same life.

So, does having a meaningful life still mean suffering more than most people? Having the best background story? Having the best character development? Being rich? Being an activist? Being someone big and influencing others? Or is it simply existing with purpose?

What exactly does having a meaningful life mean to society now?

Having a meaningful life means living in a way that feels valuable and fulfilling to you personally. It’s not about meeting society’s expectations, impressing your parents, or gaining approval online. For some, meaning comes from achieving goals; for others, it’s found in kindness, peace, or simply existing. There’s no one-size-fits-all answer — what matters is that your life feels right and worthwhile to you.

It could never about yourself, cause then you will be considered selfish

We lived in a world where everyone take "human as social creature" a bit too literally
