So I’ve been with my gf for just over a year now and like most relationships we’ve gone through a lot of ups and downs. As a warning most of our problems have come to light due to the recent election. We both voted differently and ever since I think it has drove a wedge farther and farther between us. It’s now come to the point where at least on my end I don’t think it’s going to work anymore. I haven’t fully made up my mind yet but I wanna hear some more outside perspectives. Just as a psa I know politics can be a little touchy but I’m willing to hear anyone out on the situation. DMs are open

Man im not into the whole relationship thing but ill tell you what i think. You should leave her if politics can change the way you see her, in my opinion i think its best to focus on yourself and try to find someone with the same mindset.

So just wanted to come back and kinda update everyone. I left her last Friday and honestly it’s a relief but when it came down to it I found myself seeing everything that has been wrong with us since the start. At first I wondered if I really did the right thing and I often look back and think about what would have happened had I not done it. But today I’ve been doing a lot of thinking and honestly I’m glad that I stepped up for myself and got out of an extremely toxic situation. The fallout was pretty bad but I won’t go into details here. Thank you to those of you who commented here it wasn’t much but it helped to see what others thought.
