@timber mango So definitely cutting out junk food helps, but a big contributor is actually just cutting out processed foods; fried foods, artificially made foods, things that obviously were made in like a lab or something (ex. fried chicken, goldfish/chips, sugary yogurt or ‘healthy’ items that actually just have a lot of things added to them to make them taste good).
I won’t lie, if you’re serious about weight loss, it will be uncomfortable. BUT, this does not mean you can’t occasionally have fast food, candy, or junk food. In fact, I think you shouldn’t restrict yourself, because life is short and it really won’t ruin your weight loss journey to have a cheat meal on a weekend.
One thing that helped me go from 146 > 122 would be getting a calorie tracker app and then finding your bmi (how many calories you burn just sitting). Then, I like to follow a low carb (so not much bread, pasta, rice, etc but i do still eat those items sometimes) and a high protein diet. Protein will be crucial to weight loss, and will make you feel strong. Eggs, meats, yogurt with good protein (i highly suggest oikos triple zero or oikos pro), chickpeas or edamame, etc. I’d recommend searching up good foods and learn about nutrition because that will be the biggest factor.
Learn about macro and micro nutrients, calorie deficit, and how to lose weight without having to basically starve.

One thing I think helps is not eating something sugary/high in carbs in the morning, because then I won’t crave it as much in the day or get glucose spikes (which basically make you go on a rampage of craving things). Coffee also helps me suppress appetite, as long as you’re not adding like 6,000 grams of sugar. One thing people forget to do when tracking food is that they’ll add a ton of sauces or extra cheese or all these ‘little’ things to their food and forget that those have calories too, so if you’re ever eating like a salad or something don’t forget to track what you put on it as well.
