#struggling with motivation yet again

That's totally ok! I understand you, and your feelings are valid. What do you currently need a solution and what's troubling you?
I need to find that intrinsic energy so I can be consistent in any work that I do, because when someone is driven by motivation that means that they have a certain motive they need to fulfill but if that motive was a far reach and it was getting more and more difficult to accomplish it someone might just give up or go on a hiatus until another motivation comes along, which then delays the work even further and the person becomes controlled by how much motivation there is rather than to be driven by an intrinsic power, a sense of purpose that is autonomous from any external motivator that might controle the person by the rise and fall of motivationl energy.
back when I was younger I had the "i have potential" internal energy that pushed me forward and it made me accomplish alot, but later in life when things got more complicated and I faced alot of failurers and set backs, that "i have potential" internal energy faded away, because I feel like i have reached that "potential" or rather exhausted my potential so to speak.
im trying to reignite that "i have potential" energy or rather find some new internal energy that I can rely on rather than motivation or external factors that keep failing me beacaue of their fluctuating nature
The first thing I can say is stop talking about motivation, motivation is temporary. You might be able to feel motivated for a day, an hour, a week, a month but it will not last, it will wear off. You have to stop thinking about motivation because you can only go so far by that point.
The second thing I can say is you need to change your mindset about this idea of "I have potential" that you have because I promise you, you haven't reached your full potential. This is the point where you dig deep down inside and figure out what you really want to do.
I know, but the things is how
I need step by step doable measures on how to tackle this
because repeating "i need to change" in my head is not working
Why isn't it working? Because you're literally just repeating those words over and over in your head, but you're doing nothing to change your mindset. You need to start taking small steps to start with because I can promise you, you don't just change overnight. You start small, go from there, and then you'll realize your mindset is slowly changing.
yeah thats what i need to do
and im trying to figure out how
what technique i can use ? methods ? exact steps to take ? acquire such and such knowledge ?
Listen to your favourite song n workout
im not trying to workout
but thank you for your input
UPDATE:
i came up with a plan on how to tackle this problem
DAILY SELF-VALIDATION
i need to practice self validation in order to stop relying on external validation and motivation
i plan to write everyday what i did and how it can be counted as progress
DAILY SELF-AFFIRMATION
i need to remind myself of the internal reason on why i want to do such tasks
so i plan to write everyday why im doing this and what does it mean to me
UPDATE:
the plan worked
i solved the issue
eliminating motivation
and replacing it with self validation and self affirmation
works
and eleminating being overwhelmed
with breaking things down
i would have a goal then break it down to
objectives
then objective into
tasks
then tasks into individual actions for each task
and make sure to take propper rest whenever needed during work
