i need advice ab my girl bsf

So pretty much my girl bsf ive known her since february and instantly got feelings for her and it seemed like she liked me back over the months so i asked her out in august and she had answered with “im not sure” bc she said she does like me and wants to date me but she fell in love with her best friend a couple years ago and has been failing at her attempts to lose feelings for her and so i was planning on moving on and getting myself to lose feelings for her bc it seems like we’ll never be together but she told me on the phone that she doesn’t want me to lose feelings for her or like another girl so is that a sign that she wants me to wait for her to lose feelings for her friend or am i being delusional

It sounds like she's going to always have that split decision weighing on her mind, or at least that's what she's worried about. You guys could do a trial run, one month or something. Make sure the communication is FLOWING. If it goes super well her feelings toward you will probably drown out the lingering crush she has on her friend. If it doesn't, then you guys basically just revert to what you are now, no harm done.

Put a premium on that communication. If you two start worrying about what the other knows, then it'll destroy your friendship faster than cheesecake wrecks fitness goals.
