I understand how you're feeling; I recently went through a breakup as well. It’s tough, and I have to admit that as men, we can sometimes struggle with impulses that aren't always in line with our best selves. But I want you to know that there are plenty of guys out there who don't just focus on the physical. It’s frustrating that some do, but true love isn’t always easy to find.
For now, it's okay to feel everything you're feeling—cry, grieve, get angry. You deserve to express those emotions. At the same time, it might help to appreciate the small things in your life. Even though true love may seem out of reach right now, you have other meaningful connections, like with your mom, who’s there to listen. Not everyone has that.
Take a walk, let your mind wander, and notice the little things around you—the scenery, the peace, the moments you might have overlooked before.
When it comes to finding love again, don't rush into anything. Sometimes, what feels like love might just be a reaction to a lack of attention or emotional support. It’s easy to mistake lust or infatuation for love when you’re longing for those feelings. Take a break from searching for "the one" and focus on yourself for a while. When the time is right, you’ll find someone who truly deserves you.
Take care of yourself.
