Yo how can you tell if a thought is really intrusive or not. I’m not going to say exactly what it is I’m going through so I’m just going to give a senario but same thought process. Let’s says I got an “intrusive thought” rob a toy. For me when I get an intrusive thought I usually think “noooo stop” or try to push the thought get away. But it wasn’t like that, instead I actually considered it by thinking “would it be bad to rob a small toy”, and then I was just standing there thinking about it. And you get like the urge to do it. But then you hear the store make an announcement. And then you worry, “oh crap, was I planning on stealing it? Later on you think, “was I about to steal it?”.

yeah it was an intrusive thought but in my opinion what really matters is if you decide to act on it
