I have this one friend groupchat for all my irl friends, I've been friends with them for almost 2 years and I absolutely appreciate them for being by my side during my worst days. Its all been going alright until we all attended something like an english club hosted my friend's uncle who also invited other younger kids. We were all excited and even more excited since the topic was music for that week (my closer friend plays piano and I play guitar). When the day came, we brought all our things and went our way to the place. It went very well, I played the guitar, had to stop for a bit since it seems like one of the strings went offtune, and my friend played the piano, oh boy let me tell you it was amazing. All the kids loved her and all, we were all vibing. I also had my turn playing the guitar and I mainly just taught the kids how to do basic chords and how it works, it was fun. When it was all done, we went back in the car and we were all like "It went great guys!" because yes it did. Im not sure at which point it started but out of nowhere everyone starts praising my closer friend for her sudden piano performance and I joined in since, she is that good imo. My friend's mom went "Oh what about pain?" and my friends just went "She just did her job, we knew she was gonna do it, so its nothing big, but J (my closer friend) on the other hand, carried the whole group". Mind you, I did not sign up to teach or do any kind of job, I was there as a member, same with my closer friend. I lowkey expected a bit of credit since the actual "teachers" were supposed to be my friends but they didnt really do work, it was me and my closer friend who ended up doing most of the work. I felt a little bit not appreciated but it was fine for that time. But the longer I stayed quiet and overheard the convo between everyone, they seem to be praising her nonstop without mentioning me once. It never really happened before and it was so sudden and I was cool about it at first

So anyways I was cool about it at first but I felt like the longer I overheard the convo and stayed silent, they started getting a bit too excessive, like, calling her pretty, continuously calling her a W or MVP, etc etc. Maybe its a me problem for maybe overreacting on this situation but I wanted a little bit of credit for even trying to teach the other members on music despite it not being my job. Meanwhile my closer friend, she did teach but mainly did a lot of piano playing, it was cool, but I also taught children, while the supposed teachers dont do shit. That was all 2 weeks ago, I have no idea why they still keep praising her till now, and I just feel like a ghost in there now. Even the recent drawing I drew (in my PFP), they said it looked like her, they said she looks pretty, and every little thing she did was just a huge thing now. I really want to speak up about how I felt a little underappreciated but I felt like that was just me overreacting. I genuinely need a second or a third opinion on this since Im just so confused. For now I stopped talking in the group chat since I just felt, envious of my friend for getting so much praise while I get treated like a ghost in the group.
Short ver: Friends been praising my closer friend a little too much to the point Im uncomfortable, but Im too scared to speak up about it. I feel ignored and ghosted but I feel like Im overreacting, genuinely need someone's advice on what to do in this situation

if they talk bad about you after you leave or dont ask about you, it shows they dont care
