You may have come off as insensitive, so they prob felt like you were not paying attention. Remember different people will react to things differently.

I haven't really told them about my gender identity, but I suppose they would support.

If they are supportive, they should help you with the bullying issue. Your primary option rn is to tell your parents.
If they aren't supportive, then that's going to be bad for you... IK it's not a scenario we want, but realistically, this could happen. If this happens, see if there are other adults you can trust.
