Im starting to realize that I have a gaming and phone addiction. I always seem to get angry at other players in the game and take it out on others. I really want to fix that problem. The problem is, I get bored so quickly and then i download the app again and I start the whole spiral again and again and i really want to stop. <@&993332385670246420>

Well you should try other hobbies! Try drawing or painting. Or try to sing or dance! There are a lot of more things you could do! Donβt be afraid to shoot me a pm if you want to try more of them! -Purple person
Heyo man..!
I wanted to come out there and say that I completely understand where you're coming from. For several years I was stuck in an awful screen (phone especially) addiction, and I didn't come to admit it until perhaps over half a year ago. I'm still struggling greatly with it, but it's nowhere near as bad as it used to be.
I'm busy right now, and I will be for the next few hours. But, if you don't mind and have the patience, I'll try to explain more and give my own thoughts/tips on what you're going through later when I can sit down and talk.
I know it completely sucks, and addiction is nothing to sneeze at, no matter what you're addicted to. Acknowledgement is the first step, and I'm personally gratefully that you've begun to take it.

Had the same problems can only recommend to start working out and trying new hobbies
The reason U getting bored so fast is U are dopamine addicted
Yeah, take a detox. Try only use your phone when you have to for a day, then try a week.
I think it's best to take baby steps or even like find a friend and do a challenge together. Find a new hobby together. Like, you are putting each other to the test. Find new activities around your school to keep you occupied. Also, it's good that you're able to recognize your addiction. Take baby steps and try to overcome that. I believe in you.
Understand why and what started the addiction, such as "am I distracting myself from another issue?" or "am I making myself feel better because of my feelings?" then try and solve the issue afterwards
Try and find a "Dumb phone" it only has a call feature, calculator, and very little more. It's specifically designed to stop said addition. Try going a full 30 days with the dumb phone and trust me, you'll be way more connected with life and way less addicted.
ngl...sometimes thats not too practical
I'd say take little steps
