Trolls in server + lack of punishment

Ok well my original comment got deleted, but basically I was talking about how in the #fall-guys-chat, trolls often join and get a lot of trouble happening, say stuff that’s against the guidelines, etc. but never get punished when they’re clearly trying to cause problems. It would be great if there was a stronger strike system or if people just got kicked from now on since they keep coming back, and other trolls that see how easy it is will do the same thing

Also, I know a lot of new people have been promoted to helper, mod, and other roles, but it still seems like there’s never a moderator around to help the situation. And, when there is, they never really address the troll to diffuse the situation. It’s kind of frustrating how the team here never really directly comments on anything, and how it feels like the administration team is completely disconnected

I know that a lot of people, me included, try to shut down what’s going on, but without authority usually it goes nowhere. Even with trainees, their lack of authority probably hinders what they can do, too.

Hi! I'm not too sure what you mean by lack of punishment. We usually action these users pretty quickly and have an extensive case log of doing so. Just because you don't see action directly doesn't mean it isn't happening.

As for moderators never being around, we've got a ton of channels to handle (which we're working on cutting down) internal discussions, modmail & real lives. We're unpaid- we're not gonna spend 24/7 reviewing chat.

I dunno, just from an outside perspective where trolls seem to keep going on and on about something, it looks like nothing’s going on, but gotcha

I definitely don’t blame you guys for not always being around, that’s just why I hope more people get promoted and stuff

I agree that trolls (and likely young children) take over the chat sometimes, but in my experience it really doesn’t last that long and they generally don’t come back once they’ve been dealt with.
There is definitely more of it going on since FG went f2p but it will probably calm down in not too long.

Yeah, hopefully, I feel like it’s gotten a little better even now, but it’s an unfortunate burden on everyone T_T

We do the best we can and a lot of the action happens behind the scenes like Los says. Unfortunately trolls on the internet exist in large masses and no matter what we do, they will continue to come into the server because they have nothing better to do.

it usually feels that way late it night, when most helpers arent online (or at least not seen in the chat)

but they do get punished. it probably doesnt feel like they get punished because there isnt a bot saying "trolls name has been banned." across the chat

We're working on a different stance on the recent trolls as well. I've moved this thread to "pending" while we work it out.
