I was gonna ask if your microSD Card was formatted to exFAT, but that only matters if you’re not using your Nintendo Switch normally.

Even though the Nintendo Switch formats microSD Cards to exFAT, it still chooses to split games that are larger than 4GB (even though the microSD Card isn’t formatted to FAT32).

If you delete the game then it will only delete the content update* (which is probably what is causing the game to crash). Content updates are stored in a separate save partition thing that you can’t normally* delete (like YouTube, in “System Settings” -> “Data Management” -> “Delete Save Data” -> “[TITLE]”) called the “cache save”.

The crowns and costumes and stuff are saved online by Epic Games or something, so idk exactly how to delete that (other than by deleting the Epic Games account).

The Account/User save won’t be deleted, if you delete the game. If you were wondering what gets saved there, it’s stuff like:
• Controls.
• Has accepted the EULA thing.
• Has seen how to play thing.
• Has seen the new crown rank thing.

I think it’s the SHA256 hash of the content_v2.gdata file when it’s decoded(?). It’s called statestore.json and goes like this: {"ContentDetail:ETag":"XXXX…"}. “XXXX” is 64 digits long and can be 0-9 and A-F (uppercase).

I tried making the content update data random and it downloaded the content update again with no problems.

Cache save is different from User save(s). It is a type of save like BCAT save (for storing game assets, downloaded without needing software update) and device save (not like user save, so like Animal Crossing and Hulu).

You can delete the cache save without deleting the game, with on a modded Nintendo Switch.

What I use is a save manager thing called “JKSV” by J-D-K, on GitHub.

To fix it go to: “Cache” and press “A” -> “Fall Guys” and press “X” (for “Title Options”) -> “Reset Save Data” and press “A” -> hold “A” for 3 seconds.

Can you dump it by going to: “Cache” and press “A” -> “Fall Guys” and press “A” -> “New Backup”, (add .zip to the end) and press “A” on “OK”. or “+”? (It should be sdmc:/JKSV/Fall Guys/Cache - [YYYY].[MM].[DD] @ [hh].[mm].[ss].zip

I backed it up and then deleted it on my Nintendo Switch. After completing the daily mission things I restored it and it crashed again. I wanted to make sure that it was the content update’s fault that the game crashed.

I uploaded it so the people who made the game could try to fix it.

Normally when someone has a content update like that, they won’t know the content update is what’s causing the game to crash cuz if they check the game’s files for corrupted data it will say there is no corrupted data. Then Nintendo Switch will tell them to try deleting the game and download it again to fix the problem, which will work cuz it’s the only way to delete the content update normally.

If the people who made the game; make sure the game doesn’t crash when someone has a content update like that, then they won’t have to delete the game (and download it again) to fix the game crashing.

I hope they fixed corrupted content updates crashing the game. I found out that it only corrupts if you close the game during a show(?). Idk exactly when closing the game “during a show” corrupts it.
It will not corrupt 100% if you close the game at the menu (the one you can emote in).

For the record, mine is on a SD card and works fine. Major updates, like the one recently, cause loading time lag, which is why I do the "delete and reinstall" method first. Mostly to insure no corruption in the data.

If that doesn’t work I would delete the User save again, and also delete the game cuz that will delete the content update. Then redownload.

I contacted support for a fix for the publishing error on the Switch, and this is what I got. For me, #4 was what solved it. (Note: after I published the round and then tried to republish later, it came up again for me.) I hope this gets patched soon.

Yes that’s possible

You need to login to the Epic Games Website, and login with the account you want to disconnect your Switch from. They might ask you to create one.

Then you can go to the Account Settings to Apps / Connections you should see on the Connections Tab Nintendo Switch. You should see the option to unlink the account.

After that start Fall Guys on your Switch, you should now be prompted to login with another Epic Games Account. Now you can login with the account you want to use

That’s why, if any of you experience the issue, please report it to them directly via a support ticket on the official epic games support page

Make sure to include an image of the error message, and describe the bug in as much detail as possible, and make sure to specify that it is specifically a switch problem

The more of us who report it, the more likely they will see it and fix it! (Also, try to let fall guys owl know about it as well, it’s important to inform them as much as possible)

In that case, it seems like the best course of action would be to do it more thoroughly. That would mean deleting and reinstalling it again, but also making sure to delete the save data stored on the system for the game (that only contains the controller settings for the game so no issue there), then restarting the console by holding the power button and selecting restart

On Switch you press the - button to invite friends

Click it and on the page go to the settings icon

At the bottom is the option to show the account ID, make sure it’s the same one as on the epic website

You can also try using the fall guys support id instead which you can find under Settings —> Profile —> Reveal support id. Then create a new ticket on the Support site and include the fall guys support id when asking for a refund
