I started with that one and it's good. But did even better with accel and then handling! Handling helps so much getting boost panels and boxes when you need to think fast

One thing I thought of, if possible, is to try and combine higher probability for speed items with the one that saves your items if hit. So you can just boost after getting hit. But idk if that's possible. Seems you can't combine everything.

so presumably there will be a way in the full release to play the races in such a way that lap 3 can be a crossworld

i havent played any other sonic racer so i have nothing to compare it to, other than mario kart or CTR

Better than Sonic Team Racing. Not sure about transformed. It is just different than it and on forum a lot of people seems just want remake 1:1 of that game

I think Mario Kart World gameplay is a bit better, but the main issue is that Nintendo is pushing you into those boring intermission tracks, which are not using this gameplay at all

CTR is specific. Fast paced and VERY hard to master, so it isnt the game where you sit for one hour and want good results

i do like crossworlds, more than i thought i would but again this is my first sonic racing game

yea CTR is interesting cuz its definitely a more skill based kart racer if that makes any sense

CTR require from you to spend a lot of time to learn how to play and then you will still find that others are playing way better than you on each track. I platinumed CTR and i had to take breaks because my hands hurted from pressing drift buttons over and over again

i gave up on trying to get the dev times for CTR, like its crazy how optimized it is

I think personally Sonic Crossworlds is a bit more addictive than Mario Kart World. I often have this one more race in SRC ONT and this game will be probably improved before the release

I played Mario Kart World and it was just getting annoying that i want to play one more race and they give your intermission track

i havent played MKW online yet, mostly was doing unlocks and then speedruns

also dont have switch online

i played CTR's online when the game came out but god the game was terrible online

the ps1 version has an fan made online mode and it genuinely plays better 😭

sonic racing games all tend to try to do something different from each other, (riders, sonic r, all stars)
crossworld continues from the all stars game and i think is on par with transformed, better in some ways, worse in others

Seem like they ended up cutting some of them from the beta

The chaotix were suppose to be in the beta, before it was changed

We also have 4 powers, 3 speed, 3 acceleration, 3 handling (1 because of joker)

there could be some animation issues with some characters and this is why they are not in beta

I ve found out nice comparison to situation with Mario and Sonic racing games. Mario Kart World is like a restaurant with awesome food but to enjoy it you have to eat it in a way in which restaurant owner expects from you. You cant pick place in restaurant, there is only fork and usually you end eating outside instead of sitting in comfy place inside of restaurant.
Sonic is a restaurant where they serve good food, but allows you to everywhere you want, they dont force anything on you, they ask you for feedback to improve their products and you always get what you ordered instead of what chef expects from you to order
