Pretty much all of the recent special events for a costume allow for all but 1 of the tasks to be done while still getting all of the rewards

On laggy devices, sometimes the game takes too long to load the round and it gets stuck on the little cinematic intro that showcases the map and it'll never start the countdown that enables the player's controls to actually play the map

The only way to unlock the controls again without leaving the match is by qualifying (either on a survival or a points map if you have a team that can get the points for you) or getting eliminated

The other option is leaving the match, which is the only thing you can do when you are stuck with this bug

what I do now is I open task manager, find "EasyAntiCheat", then end-task it before I quit the game, but within the next 3 seconds I click "quit" on fall guys

I used to hunt for lots of other related background services too but at some point I uninstalled Epic Online services and somehow it works for me

yeah i've seen people mention that but i usually dont see anything named that

sometimes other processes with crash in the name though

managed to get another game to boot by deleting C:\Program Files (x86)\EasyAntiCheat_EOS, and then verifying integrity of that game (Faaast Penguin) and then when it booted it installed that folder again and booted. Don't really want to open Fall Guys and see if that changed anything there, guessing no.
