Indeed, the handheld ports in general have always been a mistake for this game, and don't get me wrong, it was for the better of the game as it brought in so many new players and such, but at the same time, in the long term run, it really did end up holding the game back so much from ever reaching its full potential (at least imo)

Unfortunately fortnite and fall guys are two completely separate cases, as fortnite has an extremely large dev team and they can easily divide the dev team into several sections to work on different things while having no repercussions due to the simple size of the dev team; however, the same thing doesn't apply to fall guys, due to mediatonic (fall guys dev team) having a relatively very small dev team, making it very difficult to focus on more than one task at a time. Meaning if they work on something, they're gonna need almost the entire dev team's attention to be on that one thing which is why the mobile port will never truly be a truly good port compared to the other ports

and that's not including the fact that a lot of the mobile port was seemingly rushed with awkward controls that are highly impractical to use in-game without the use of an external device such as a Bluetooth controller or a mobile controller

and then when they lowered the max player cap in solos to 40 they only then realized how stupid that is but since most of the races are built for r1 theyre just. kinda squished in there

egg siege, uneven team sizes notwithstanding, would be a great opener but they literally dont have anywhere else to put track attack so all the fun levels are forced out of the opening pick aside from a handful like roll out

probably why the game was so exhausting for me LMAO 90% of the opening rounds are awful

and then theres some decently fun, albeit repetitive stuff in the middle but theres also like. frantic factory or pipe dream

and then final, usually a really lousy one that doesnt give you options to strategize

hex has a pretty healthy mix of strategy and luck but most games inevitably end with one dude in the corner who just. wins since the last couple of islands are going to be so distant
