After playing Fall Ball Cup Trios Ranked for around 2 and a half hours, I really dont think it deserves all that hate
Like sure it might not be the best LTM in the world but it could have been so much worse
If you struggle to have fun in this gamemode, the best advice I could give you is don't think about the grind, don't think about winning, don't think about your bad teammates, but instead concentrate on just doing your best and getting better at Fall Ball. Be patient and don't give up

In the Adapt! LTM you had quests to complete, including one that was totally luck based (qualify on team games 2x but getting a team game in that mode was less than a 10% chance) so you missed out on rewards for not playing
and at least in Fall Ball Cup people are nice and doing their best
in Adapt! people where doing everything in their power to turn your life into a nightmare

Crowns is only loosely correlated to skill. Its not strict. There has been and are many ways to abuse the system to gain a massive amount of crowns rn, they could have had a bad game, they could be lagging, purposefully trolling, and the most likely reason is that they dont have any care to get better, and play for fun

yea I totally see why you find it infuriating but as I said I think the best way to play that LTM is to forget that it's actually Ranked
you aren't at all forced to play it for multiple hours straight, because you have an entire month to reach the highest rank
Your main focus in that mode imo should be just to do your best and become better at Fall Ball
That way you'll slowly but surely progress without the pain of "needing to grind for it" if you see what I mean
