Button Throw Pokemon Ball Section, select Great or Ultra Balls and disable the Poke Ball Auto-Throw option then exit the settings. When the device locks onto a pokemon you press the big button on the front to initiate catch. Once you have completed that part of the special research you can re-enable the auto throw.

I just talk about doing dynamax solo:
1 star, just a wooloo is enough
2 star, can be tricky if you have 1 wooloo only against Machop. Try to have 2 or 3 dynamax
3 star, Beldum is the easiest to do (like a 2) and can be beated with second stages pokemon such as charmeleon per example. Don't try Cryogonal without level 35+ super effective
4 star, there is only Toxapex for now, excadrill 2 times level 35+ is enouhg to deal with
5 star almost impossible to do solo except with mushroom and zacian boost
6 star (gigantamax) impossible to do solo
