@placid coral @fluid pollen @sand wind if you are trying to keep a card safe or ship it a card saver is the safest. I’m a top loader the card can shift around and scratch still even with a sleeve. A card saver basically suctions it in and prevents any shifting of you send it in to be graded or send to someone else. It’s not as durable but if you watch any big breakers like say Pokerev, he always uses card savers and it’s recommended in most videos of when sending to PSA. I exclusively put my sleeved cards in card savers in they aren’t going in a binder. Lol

But I also want to say (and I’ve found myself getting wrapped up in this as well but I want to change it) the Pokémon card collecting space has become so fucking obsessed with value and markets that it’s lost what makes Pokémon so fun in the first place. This is why I’m willing to trade a celebrations Zard for a Tapu Lele lmao

Modern Pokémon is a speculative market. The only cards and products that will really stand the test of the time are WOTC products. Everyone and their dog keeps modern cards in prestine condition and sealed away. One day the market manipulation will end and all these price inflated boxes will drop. You can see the market manipulation just by the fact that every grading company has skewed population reports. It’s obvious. PSA is backed up still doing cards from 2020, CGC doesn’t show population reports, all these random grading cards have popped up and the pop report is spread so thing among other companies that people don’t realize there are thousands of copies of these cards in 9 and 10s out there. OLD MAN SCREAMING AT THE SKY HERE

long story short. Rip your packs. Enjoy it. Have fun. Stop worrying about getting 600 bucks for cards that won’t fetch that. Sure it’s cool to flex value of your cards. Even I do it.
