dont get me wrong i have matches where ive been carried, but i mostly get paired with people who dont know when they can win fights or are running around gathering points and never actually scoring.

It is confirmed that the ranking system does not have a bug. From Vet 1 you go to Ult 5 and vice versa

Because it's a shorter season Unite wanted to make it easier for players to rank up

Mhm... already had some bad matches. I had this match where the screen clearly said "We're in the lead" but 3 teammates still decided to go score. Then the entire opposing team raided our two goal zones, causing my other teammate and I to die... we lost, thanks to those three teammates.

Rank doesn't even matter, Master or not you'll still get teamed up with people who have absolutely no clue what they're doing

My team loses often to one of two things,

1. Massive rushes for little reason against one goal, while the only defense is a single Zeraora, me, as to where everyone is I don't know. Often during mid-game.
2. AFK Players that got salty I took their kills, so they started Idling in base.

They're saying that the anniversary thing has so many cream-and-cake-related things, so it really looks like a set-up for Alcremie coming in the future.. As for Shaymin, if you saw the Pokemon Presents on 8/3, the person who was talking had a lot of Pokemon plushies in the background.. next to a Glaceon and Tyranitar plushie in the top left was a Shaymin :)
