So a couple of days ago I was trying to get Calyrex and Glastrier (to fuse them and have both calyrex (ice rider and shadow rider)) but when I obtained the second calyrex I was not able to fuse. You don’t need to be any particular level. You can set the level in the trade request but that’s not your biggest issue right now.
Make sure that your YComm is connected/online and be in the global trade room waiting for your trade when you get the code.

Yeah, I’m not entirely sure why you can’t view/edit them. The pk8 files that appear in the channels are the bots attempt at generating a legal pokemon.
