Typically as soon as you get the code, it should already be within the trade link code section. The time when joining is when it shows up as Initializing Trade. As soon as it says that message, it would be best if you were searching already; time is ticking.

1 - you are not “banned” from #scarletviolet-bot . There is a slowmode indicated by the timer on the top of your message box.
2 - you requested Rayquaza in #scarletviolet-bot . Not only is this not in the game but it also triggered the slowmode for you so even if you did want to use it you are unable to for a set time.
3 - the aforementioned Rayquaza that you requested is at level 35. Rayquaza is not available in any main series game at level 35.

4 - the Rayquaza has a Tera type. This means that the format that you used is set to Gen 9. As stated, Rayquaza is not in Scarlet and Violet (yet) so you will have to change your format to Gen 8 if you are attempting to use #swordshield-bot

It's likely that you were too slow within the trade. You only have 1 minute to pair up with the bot. This is including the searching process as well. You should be prepared, as in with the code- and what pokemon to choose on the selection.
