just ugly now and makes every shiny mon a less rare but if you don't have dusk balls and don't have repeat or dont wanna use repeat then ultra is the way, dusk balls don't make mon less rare but have a higher catch rate so if you really wanna catch somethin you should use dusk or repeat if you dont have or wanna use those then I would suggest ultra balls @candid fjord does this answer ur question?

Dusk balls have a higher catch rate than ultra in most cases,

and it was a dynamax raid, he played it safe and used an ultra ball

if he used a premier ball and it broke out, would have been over.

I've had static shinies like the Gyarados in Crystal and some event Gengar, and an Ultra Wormhole Ducklett/Swanna (forgot which)
also a couple hacked ones if you count those
