Its cause every Mystery Gift basically is a Pokemon with certain set values. So its easy to replicate in say PKHex if you know the right values to put on the Pokemon to make it legit, cause for all the games and Pokemon Home care, it is a legit Pokemon as far as it knows

Like the games and Pokemon Home cannot tell the difference between a Shiny Zacian I got back in SwSh from the actual event, and a Shiny Zacian I hacked in via PKHex, cause, at least internally they share the exact same data values
