If you think about what an opposing price ramp would look like you’ll quickly realize you’d be wanting to buy and sell at the same time and it’s never been that way - it would need low sell and high buy and high sell and low buy to occur at the same time and would mean you couldn’t buy and sell in the same cycle.

Day 1: Buy: 3000. Sell: 1200
Day 7: Buy: 2250. Sell 1800
Day 14: Buy: 1600 Sell: 2400

Now it appears to be:

Day 7: Buy 2400 Sell: 1200
Day 14: Buy 3000. Sell: 1500

So it was similar to what you wrote where there is a buy high time and sell high time and now if this chart is correct, the buy high and sell high time is the same. ??

Nope. You are trading with the trader, not other players. Might be a limit as to how many customers can be served each window

I am fairly new to Trading Hall, so I don’t know what “normal” is yet or even how the algorithm works. I’m just listing at the prices on the web and watching every 6 hours for a sale / purchase. Some go through, some don’t. Not enough data to see any pattern yet for me.

I KNOW tht it isn’t a direct 1-to-1 match regardless of price. I have an acct on my phone and a separate acct on my tablet and could never get sales / purchases to go through when creating a sale on one and a purchase on the other for the exact same hero, # of shard, and price. They sat for weeks and never went through.

Then, I found this forum and read about the prices on the web page. Following that, I was able to get some sales and some purchases to go through. But, it is hit and miss.

For me this is the first sales season I've been able to sell every day I've tried. Typically have missed one or two. I always use the exact list prices and set sales bids one day early. I don't change them but might add one for reset+18 if nothing hasn't happened.

you need the hero to be 15 to burn for dust for sacred apollo is the best choice as he is so cheap

If you need sacred dust, you can sell any hero. You just need to buy Apollo shards with those hero coins. Selene is just the most valuable hero.

The prices for the shards (both selling and buying) are set by the game. You are selling to or buying from them, not other players.

I got bad news basis experience of previously new heroes releases ... that usually new heroes not prompt beinig available in TH. Much earlier in sale offers usually. So on cards summoning should same time when in shop will arrive, as you pay gems in CS like in shop by money.

Pries in TH no idea, depend haw AOW rank this 2 new heroes, as close to Apollo and Drake, or rather to Mephisto and Wukong or close to Selene? Freya and Charon got reasonable prices at last releases, Odin rather overpriced, I guess present 2 will be not cheap in TH 🙂 Maybe not Selene, but also not Drake levels or Odin 🙂

Can someone explain the trading chart that keeps getting posted? Using Aly for example, it says selling is 3418 and buying is 6888... Why are there 2 columns? A buy order is the opposite side of a sell order, so if I list it to sell for 3418 and someone else lists to buy at 3420, wouldn't that trigger? And what happens to the spread? Most convoluted trading system ever

You do not sell to other players (or buy from them). You sell to (and buy from) the game.

The price ranges are determined by the game.

However, if many other players offer or request shards in the right range, your order may not go through.

That's why the 'safe' way to do, always get 1 shard or 2 shard transaction to execute 1st, before listing the other transaction to round it up to allowable 5 shard transaction that day

I sell on the 5 highest days and buy on the 5-7 lowest days.

I don't use the day after maximum or minimum as it can mess with other transactions. Or I set them on the day/day before.

But, since Vlad and Copernicus are new, there's little to no buying or selling, so I would expect them to essentially not be listed until there is. If I take an average of zero, it's zero. So someone has to try to sell and buy for an average to appear on this otherwise useless piece of data

The order of top-5 prices as Selene, Davi, Aly, Jinn and Seon in that order made a lot of sense when trading hall was released. They just didn't adjust Selene during the time she wasn't worth it for arena. Now she's back but not necessarily still worth that.

I entered bids the same way, entering highest bids first and lowest bids last. Therefore as with the old system the lowest bid would show "on top".

I have no data to suggest other than a gut feel that the price is always moving. Even outside of trigger. It just so happen that when the trigger hits is the price it will select. On bottom day when my low bid hit it was at reset +0. On the day my high bid hit it was reset +18.

just a quick look, the deltas on known prices are approx 4%/1.6% of peak price on the buy side across the heroes. The peak is what drives everything. That should make the rest pretty predictable. Of course I am sure someone else has seen this.

Well, I thought I should contribute a little to the process before Vlad got too expensive. Given that the first reported trade was below the Selene price, I'm somewhat befuddled that my bid did not go through.

if you look closely, you'll see each hero follows the same pricing pattern as prices rise and fall. Initial rise is large at about 4% of peak buy price then tails off to about 1.6% and then reverses. As such, given the pattern we'd already seen with the previous days, you could estimate that the buy price would be higher as Bill B stated above even though we haven't accurately determined minimum deltas or max/min buy and sells yet.

@foggy forge hey should I sell shards of heroes that I don't use like I have drake at level 7 and I never used it and probably will never so should I sell it or should I not because If I ever want to get it back it will be available to me at double the cost

I use heroes that are cheap in the TH, like Drake and Apollo, as "dust factories". I have gotten them to a high level, so I can use their additional shards to be grind into dust (on the Magic Dust Wheel).

I now buy Selene with gems in Card Master, sell her shards in TH for 3700-4000 hero coins per shard, and then buy with those hero coins Drake and Apollo shards in TH for 600-900 hero coins per shard. I basically turn one Selene shard into 8000-10000 dust.

The risk of dropping price to save 30 coins a shard isn't worth the risk of the trade not going through to me, I'd already calculated my sales to get 30 shards from the 6 cheapest buy days, if 1 day doesn't buy then I automatically lose more to have to buy on day 7

Buying 30 at these prices, miss a day and have to spend 1600 more coins to buy that next day

I suspect you are right. But I went four days the last selling season without trades.
I have put in a buy order at the lowest price to see what happens.

So that trade did not go through at Reset. I added another bid at the chart price the day before peak, and that went through at +6. So it looks like the chart is correct as is. And my original bid should go through at the next Reset.
