This is not a complete review of each aspects and functions of Jenny V5.1.
This is about only one feature but the most: sound quality.
I have here the original retail one. Yes, that stunning expensive one. I also have here a Jenny V5.1. For some time I’ve been noticing the sound quality of both seemed very similar. But are they?
Then I decide to check.
Conditions: dark room, closed eyes, same music Pentatonix’s “Sound of silence” version, both AirPods connected to my iPhone.
I SHUFFLED them and picked one pair. No idea which one were.
I placed the first unknown set and started the music. Listened till end. I paid as much attention to every detail of sound as I could. Good sound 👍.
Then I removed them, picked up the other set and listened the same music from start to end paying same attention .
When I finished listening with the second set… what??? I COULD NOT tell which were which!
Ok, so I swap the AirPods again and repeated the experience. At the end I was STILL confused. I felt small differences but incredibly I was still in doubt.
Only after comparing 4 times I could notice one of them was slightly well defined in high frequencies and flatter in low then the other. So I pointed that with a TINNY better balance of frequencies as being the Apple one.
I was right.
But I have to confess: that was much more difficult then I imagined it would be.
Conclusion: Apple’s has high frequencies more well defined while V5.1 has low (bass) a little heavier and because of that high frequencies are a little faded.
But by little I really mean LITTLE, very little.
I compared the sound quality of both side to side so I can tell for sure that for an ordinary daily use they are pretty much the same!
Very impressed!
