Name: Xuè láng

Backstory: A wandering warrior, cursed with an insatiable bloodlust that forces him into battle after battle to curb his hunger if only for a limited time.

He searches for a way to be rid of his curse, whether it is breaking it, or falling in battle.

Appearance: Xue Lang wears very little in terms of armor, but is quite the healthy combatant, weaving quickly in and out of the fray. He has fur as black as night and eyes as blue as ice, that turn red when the bloodlust takes over.

Passive Ability - Rip and Tear

  1. 6% of Xue Lang's Damage is done over time as a true damage bleed effect.

Grenade - Ripper Grenade - A shrapnel grenade that deals 50% of its damage as bleed damage.

Ultimate - Blood Frenzy - As Xue Lang does bleed damage, he gains progress on a meter based on the % of damage (It also passively increases), he can then activate Blood Frenzy, where his movement, ROF, Crit Chance, Damage or whatever is buffed creating windows of burst damage. Blood Frenzy's duration is based on how quickly the meter is drained so as Xue Lang causes more bleed damage he can keep the ultimate up, but the drain on the meter is exponential, meaning it will increasingly drain more and more over time.

-Ascensions-

Blood Sight - This Ascension focuses on modifying and improving the bleed effect passive. From adding more damage to bleed, to allowing Xue Lang to siphon health off of bleed damage done, to causing the bleed to do damage more quickly, and increase how quickly the Blood Frenzy meter charges.

Red Mist - This Ascension modifies the Ripper Grenade. These effects vary from once again increasing the bleed damage, to leaving behind spikes on the floor to slow/damage enemies, and adding various other nasty effects.

Crimson Warrior - This Ascension focuses on more base attributes of Xue Lang as a warrior and his Blood Frenzy. Giving him base bonuses but also modifying how his Blood Frenzy ultimate functions and adding ways to increase duration and effects.

Sadly I'm not good at spreading out how many different ways the ascensions could be modified by golden goblets, so I figured I'd just let the devs generally decide lol

Honestly, I think if the devs decided to put in a metric boatload of cosmetics to grind for, it might bring a flood of players back.

they have seasons of stuff still coming out so content will still be around but they wont ever make money unless they add character levels to unlock cosmetics and mastery styles for weapons

This is a really cool idea! Not to come off brash or naive but I would say I am pretty well-versed in the Gunfire balance conversation. This is a super cool concept, I like how you have continued the unspoken theme being each character takes advantage of a mechanic in the game, there are no characters currently that directly use bleed. I think his passive effect is a cool idea, but may need some thought around how you would counteract fast fire rate weapons.
The reason I say this: Let's say an enemy has 1000 health and for arguments sake has 90% damage resistance to your attack. If you deal 100 damage per shot, you will deal 10 dmg + 6 true dmg, meaning you technically only need to hit him as many times as 16 goes into 1000. This matters because the damage difference between high RoF and Heavy Hitting low RoF weapons isn't balanced with this kind of damage in mind. Hopefully that makes sense, not trying to shit on your idea I think it is awesome, I am super passionate about character design and think this is a great candidate for the game!
