There are more defensive options than just ascensions that increase your stats.
Ascensions that reduce enemy damage, scrolls that reduce your damage taken, scrolls that increase movement speed, or even just the weapon you're using which has a hidden movement speed stat.

I think that's because Gunfire Reborn adopts a "high recovery, low endurance" playstyle when it comes to getting attacked.
AKA It's easy to recover from damage, but you cannot take much of it at once.
Most roguelikes do things the opposite with "low recovery, high endurance". Either they give you a massive maximum health or give you invincibility frames, but healing damage is extremely poor and usually not free.

Turn your sensitivity to around 300, wherever comfortable, find the playstyle and character you like, and rock that.
I can't teach awareness or intuition. But I can tell you to watch the mini map and watch for the enemies that are.most threatening to you.
Focus the spearman while LOS the crossbowmen, then pop out of cover when your shield is up and there isn't any bullets flying at you.
That type of strat.
You can't tank every enemy at once, so use your environment to block certain ones out while you focus the others.

If you want to do it the easy way, get a run with the veteran scroll and Tao's level 3 sword guard. You'll be pretty much unkillable by the battleship boss, but don't throw yourself into to danger trying to get an extra stack of veteran. Try to mix in sword shadow and luminous heart to minmax your shield buff.
Other than that it's about staying on the move and prioritizing enemies that have 'fuck you' attacks. longbowmen in the tomb, both sniper variants and arsonists in the desert and then the big bois (dark bandits and rogues) when they get close. If the explosive lanterns are giving you trouble (more than likely it just caught you by surprise b/c lanterns in the first water stage don't explode), hang back a bit and deal with sharks and corrupt monks as soon as you see them. Sharks will pull you into range of a lot of dangerous attacks and the monks will continually spawn more exploding lanterns until they're dealt with at which point they may summon two more on defeat so don't let your guard down. Kappas and arrogant lobsters are good to prioritize too because AOE can mess you up. Everything else up to the boss can be avoided pretty reliably by staying mobile.
Once you understand the prioritizing and get a feel for the rhythm of each stage, you shouldn't need veteran anymore to reliably reach the snow area. If you need a slight HP boost, the 18 or so max health you sometimes have the option of taking from the orange chests, can help a bit. Pole Monarch is a DPS check though so clearing him really depends on your build.
Your love/hate battle with this game feels pretty relateable to what I've gone through on other games. It took me 37 runs before I cleared normal and another 20 or so before it really clicked. Keep at it. You got it ^_^

You're supposed to get a fat stack of soul essence, similar to previous bosses.
But besides a bit of dialogue about Pole Monarch, it's really more of a bonus act than anything.
You don't need to beat it, but if you want extra soul essence or for a run to go a bit longer, you can go there.

Technically the tracking doesn't, but if you move into cover they're already curving after you, so they're already adjusted to curving behind a solid object.
If you're peeking just out of said cover then duck behind it, the shots have virtually no time to begin curving to follow, unless you're too slow and get hit normally.

Damage scaling is astronomically bigger than health scaling. By the time you're doing millions of damage, you've probably still got around the same health.
Fire Enthusiast for example is only a 2% lifesteal. This can pretty much let you fully heal every hit from Anxi Desert and beyond.

It's possible to crit with a weapon that "cannot crit" through a scroll like deadly counter. You may have had an inscription that causes crit effects, or the L2 on deafening mortar can actually crit while the R2 cannot. I don't EVER use the L2 on it, I wouldn't know about that.

In the case of how programming that works, it would
40% chance to "lucky shot tier 1"
20% chance to "lucky shot tier 2"
Which would double, and triple damage respectively.
They are "lucky shottting" because it's reusing the functions already in the code to properly modify damage.

This is why everytime I interact with a fireplace I close the game and upload my save
This bug oncr happened when I was in the 3rd act and me uploading the save ended up saving the run since I could just download it
The only problem is that if you leave and come back to a run and you had a sniper rifle it bugs out and max out your zoom sensitivity
Thankfully there's an easy way to fix it, just drop and pick up the rifle, or just swap weapon 1 with weapon 2

It seems impossible. The 4th stage is like built around a maxed out character and daily challenge you start extremely weak. I couldn't even imagine fighting the boss there in the daily challenge

Whenever the daily was in Canada, I only ever struggled with the boss. It feels like the enemies aren't as ridiculously scaled like in regular runs. But the boss feels impossible every time

There is some bugs in connectivity. If you port foward your PlayStation, Or they port foward theirs (depending on who's multiplayer is broken) then it should fix it.

No one does, but I've fixed connectivity by port forwarding before, so it's at least worth a shot.

The team made a contract with good faith, but this very contract is what is the problem
by technicality 505 did their job , be it a piss poor one, which makes cancelling the contract near impossible, which is what Duoyi wants to do.
Some now retired and current staff expressed that if they had known how this turns out they wouldnt have worked with them

It would happen at a random and it throws me off while I’m trying to complete Elite under 30 minutes.

I think this happened like 5 or 6 times total, I did manage to fix it once by just leaving and going back to the fireplace

If they beat a boss while you are downed, you should get the achievement iirc, it might be in reverse, where you need to 'revive' other players by killing a boss

Nightmare was the biggest difficulty spike for me, Elite wasn't that much harder than normal, and none of the reincarnations were that much more difficult than the previous one. Nightmare is definitely a slap in the face.

I wouldn't recommend avoiding vaults. Occult scrolls are almost always useful, missing out on a primary resource for them will make your run harder. Instead, Wait until you get the chalice at the end of the stage before clearing it.

Because region by region is the better solution due to the networking nature of the game. Having regions increases the chances you find someone with a good connection to you.
If we were to do platforms additionaly that would tripple the channels and if only platforms people would ask for regions.
