Crown Prince has something that Ao Bai doesn't.

As slow as Crown Prince is, his skills will make his enemies slower. He can also stop them shooting at him for even more compensation for his slow speed.

And Qian Sui... I'm just gonna say it. His kit is literally designed for speed.

His second talent can give him an almost permanent +10% total movement speed (for 5.72 movement speed, not 5.2), he has 2 ascensions for increasing movement speed further AND his primary skill both refreshes and enhances his dash for even more speed.

And this is because his skill's attack range is pathetic, so he needs to move fast to reach his enemies.

Okay sure, all of that is valid, but by that logic the bunny (Tao) should be the same speed as the Cat (Crown Prince), because parts of her kit (cursed mark) are/can be based around slowing down enemies upto 70% slower for 6 seconds on her secondary ability which can be casted alot more often than the 15 second base cd on Energy orb, which is like you said something that Ao Bai cannot do.

I will continue to firmly believe that Crown Prince should be a 5.2 speed aswell as the fact that Ao Bai should be the slowest in the game do to how the fantasy in dungeon based rpgs such as mmos and rougelite/likes are. Crown Prince is either a rouge or a mage(if you keep the fantasy roles in mind) which are both known for fairly high speeds, and Ao Bai is a Tank/Heavy Based Dps which are typically slow other than the case of Brawler Tanks (Like Quan Sui).

Tao requires a specific ascension at least 2 times to reduce enemy speed by 50%, but can further increase to 70% for up to 6 seconds.

Crown Prince does 50% by default with Smoke Grenades, AND has Energy Orb for reducing speed by 100% for up to 8 seconds and preventing attacks.

Yeah, but that 100% slow is for 2 seconds, and unless if you increase the duration through the Chained Duration ascension it's not extremely long for something you gotta wait 15 to get back.

Honestly since Prince is reminiscent of a Rouge or a Mage id be willing to take a cut to his health/armor for the increase of speed, that would match the fantasy of his character more.

100% slow for 2 seconds by default is still better than 0% slow for 0 seconds which Tao has by default.

And he's still got 50% slow for 5 seconds as well.

He's significantly better at controlling his enemies than anyone else, so he doesn't need to control himself as much.

I agree, but all im trying to say is that I think the fantasy should match the character especially since people want a healer/support role. Make it so that teamwork matters more and runs would be alot more interesting imo

cut his health by half abecause hes in charge of cc-ing and give him speed like all rouges/mages/archers have that way people playing him need to have more thought put into plays made otherwise he'll be punished first and heavily

And that's another problem with this idea.

Why would you want to turn the first and only hero new players have access to into a fragile support that gets killed easily when they make a mistake?

Because new people will make a lot of mistakes.
