I dunno, it really depends on how much better they think legendary scrolls are.

Given their... questionable balance decisions, I wouldn't be surprised if the skill with "all legendary" active would be 5 times as powerful with double the effect range, double the AoE of those falling projectiles and even debuff enemies massively.

Injectors are still used, but it's mainly Rainbow and Radioactive Gauntlet now.

Because their auto-aim and rapid hits is powerful with spores.

Some of the other metas, or at least super powerful stuff, include...
• Tiger's Thunder & Glory blessing for absurd thunderbolt damage
• Tiger's Gradual Improvement blessing for massively boosting the crit damage of low critX weapons
• Bunny's Blossom Enthusiast blessing for easy Fatal Bloom use, especially paired with Thorny Bloom blessing.
• Turtle's Tsunami Punch blessing, because it massively increases his aspis usage, punch damage and even weapon damage with retracting attacks.
• Fox's Spiritual Flame skill, because its base stats and ascensions have high numbers for absurd power.

Yes. Spirit Feline is anti-synergistic with pretty much anything that increases your max HP, max Shields/Armor or damage reduction.

More max HP + Shields/Armor increases the threshold so you take more damage per hit. Damage reduction lowers the damage taken... which does nothing if it remains above the threshold, and increases the damage taken if it fell below it (before applying Spirit Feline's damage increase).

Difficult to answer because there's multiple "correct" answers depending on your run's context. Dual Wield is extremely powerful and can make a lot of weapon combinations work that otherwise wouldn't. It's less about what's good to use during it and moreso how to keep Dual Wield up as much as possible as Dog is somewhat a sitting duck without it.

That said, if you're just looking for simple ideas:
-- Explosive weapons, esp. double mortars
-- + weapons for high damage per hit combustion builds
-- + weapons for true damage miasma builds

Bullet hose builds do work, but it's often better to take two weapons that use different ammo pools as you'll be less likely to run out of ammo. Ammo Expert 1 is extremely good. Avoid taking Twin Gunner until you have some form of ammo recovery.

I went ahead and threw together a simple visual list to help you. This is by no means objective--certain weapons that are low can be extremely broken in Dual Wield builds, but I ranked each weapon based on how I felt they'd perform in the hands of a newer player getting used to Ao Bai's primary skill/trying to beat the game without much luck. Weapons sharing the same tier aren't in any particular order.

Damn it's missing the radioactive gauntlet and wheel saw. I'd probably put gauntlet in B or A and Wheel Saw in...B treating it like a worse Sunder because...well, it sorta is.

In the context of Dual Wield I'm not much of a fan of Laser Gloves because they consume a lot of ammo, have a low effect % chance, and each hit is weak making combustion pretty terrible with it. You can run it with success, but in terms of newer players and learning Ao Bai I think it's difficult to succeed without some advanced mechanics/knowledge.

Gauntlet obvs gets better with the weapon skill but it's still busted without and isn't too bad at applying decay, a better element in this case, without having to aim much. So it's higher despite being in a weaker state.

Funny you mention--I've tried this and with Dog's obscene hero blessings you can get some pretty funny bleed numbers. But even so it requires a lot of rng to truly get rolling. It's not as great as it sounds given in most contexts you can literally just pick up better weapons and deal way more damage. It's niche but fun.

Using 2 shotguns for spores isn't actually that good.

On the upside, you can plant more spores per shot.

On the downside, the main hand weapon's high projectile count will lower the spore damage if you only upgrade the offhand (and upgrading both isn't that good either), you have to land all projectiles of the main hand's shot for each spore to apply, and all shotguns have way lower RoF than other weapons that can use spores better, which may end up applying more spores per second.

Here's a thing though, if you mash or time reloads, you can trigger onreload effects twice before having to drain a round with it

but a dry Hell abuses this better, as it autostart reloads on frame 1 and can be interrupted by a skill before reloading, creating a loop

Spore is good because you can almost always obtain it, and it deals significant damage. For instance, with Monkey, you can get Spore right in the first location and quickly annihilate everything while your team follows you and watches. However, the main downside is that it can become tedious. In each run, you perform the same actions - hold down one button while your team runs after you and collects souls. Essentially, you speedrun the game in cooperative mode, and sometimes people quit.

I would say the Steam version is better and is not worth getting the mobile port if you already own Steam version. But if you are a console owner and you dont have the PC specs to run it, get the mobile version. 'cause 505 Games messed up the console port

But i would say Mobile is very faithful to the Steam port and its updated frequently so if you are someone who have no time to play on PC and is always on the go, then yeah get it haha

I believe my first PC game was Borderlands 2 and it definitely took me a bit to get used to the keyboard. It was my freshmen year of college and I was playing it on my tiny Surface Pro laptop lol

You have to install windows DS4 to use playstation 4 on PC. It actually has gyro settings in ds4 then it'll work in gunfire but I can't get the drift to stop. On mobile you can use gyro only in ads like I do on all games

Ps4 is easier to aim in gfr than Xbox is. Xbox controller jumps more so hard to aim at head without jumping way past it.

I think movement won't really be an issue so much. It's other key uses that trips me up.

Good thing Elemental Power was replaced too. Play the highest difficulty you're most comfortable winning or getting far on. Acts 3 and 4 reward the most soul essence, and higher reincarnation levels specifically give loads of essence.

If you can reach Reincarnation 1, starting with an OP blessing, while costing essence, will help you complete the run much faster/more consistently. A great one to take is Painkiller--especially on Crown Prince.

Starting a Dog Lone Wolf run with Endless Assault and rerolling for Atomic Bomb is also basically a guaranteed win on any difficulty. Because Atomic Bomb is Atomic Bomb.

I noticed that it's practically impossible to find someone at different difficulty levels if all the checkboxes are selected (or even just one). But when you select only one difficulty level, the game finds a match. I bet the developers messed something up in the recent patches. At the very least, when you have all the checkboxes selected, the search displays "Nightmare (Nightmare, Elite, Normal)," which already hints at a glitch.

Nightmare is brutal at first--I totally get why you're stuck there. Best advice I have is to not sleep on the defensive ascensions. When you're not used to the game fully yet, several defensive ascensions (and scrolls) are great at mitigating your inevitable mistakes.

Steel Armor, Iron Scud, Regen Hit 1

Voltaic Aegis (helps him not be so squishy)

Keep in mind movement speed = defense in this game at times. So movement speed buffs are also nice to have especially against the more pesky enemies such as Arsonists and enemy snipers. Movement speed will make Act 2 and especially Pole Monarch much easier. Hope this all helps

Depends on your characters a bit

Spores is broken across the board

Atom bomb dog is broken

Painkiller cat has some of the freest room clears in the game, though it performs slightly worse into bosses and elites

That's not fair, it performs considerably worse, as you don't get aggro relief from manipulation and you still have 5 base speed :p

A good fire or corrosive weapon to spam combustion helps with that

T&G is pretty busted, though know you'll have to plan your run around it, as the fast ways to stack it are gifted man dependent, ascension dependent, or both

birb doesn't have as much capacity to break the game but unstoppable momentum and easy kill can do it if you get the right rng

The freest clears you can get are probably gonna be spores then yeah

On nightmare you just need to have a very strong understanding of how to build good damage to win consistently. Otherwise you need to abuse something broken(eg. Spore) or get incredibly lucky.

Fundamentally good ways to build damage are Elemental Fusions(Decay + Fire, Decay + Shock) via Geminis or combining Lucky Shot with consistent and strong Crit weapons. Extra good if you can do all of those at the same time.

Skill-based builds are much weaker in Nightmare because your options to scale damage are strictly luck based, and the threshold for "good damage" often means hitting many really good scrolls or hitting almost all of the ascensions related to the skill you're using. AKA if you want to win consistently in Nightmare, you're better off going for builds primarily focused on weapon damage

Spirit Bible is general damage, the most common form of damage bonus.

The effect enemies get if they're randomly given Spirit Bible is multiplicative, which will always be -40% of your final damage no matter what.

Against enemies with Spirit Bible, it'll probably be worse, every other enemy, it's better.

With Advanced Armory, they become 5, which is the minimum for a gemini.
