#Mac systems dont support 64 bit patching?
1 messages · Page 1 of 1 (latest)
If you're already using a 64 bit java you don't need to replace a 32 bit java with a 64 bit java for logical reasons
That said, the description should be changed
Not according to the definition of patched that I would use no
This screenshot would be telling the truth, if you wanted to know that
Patch it why
is the game not 64 bit?
what definition is that
As I said, this screenshot is telling the truth
Replaced something else
so its launching the game with 64 bit??
Yes
alright thats what i needed to hear
You're welcome
you couldve just said its patched already, and that description was wrong that it says; which im hoping it is
correct me if im wrong
your game is 64 bit already and patching wouldnt do anything
Not quite the wording I'd use
well how would you word it without sounding like socrates
You're currently using a 64 bit java
Or, already using
The game is not 32 bit or 64 bit
Mac already comes with a 64-bit Java VM installed, no need for patching
And patching wouldn't necessarily do nothing since the functionality is replacing the java used with a specific version of 64 bit java, so you could always end up changing the version from like 92 to 300 something
thats a much simpler way to put it, does that mean that that message was just wrong accidently?
The tooltip is right though, even if you already have a 64-bit Java VM you can still patch a different one, on Windows that is. Mac and Linux does not support any patching regardless of whether your current one is 32 or 64
The tooltip isn't quite right since the system most definitely does support 64 bit java though
What matters is that it isn't 32-bit
yeah if it downloads in 64 bit itd be better off just saying your system is already patched
Or maybe not tooltip, but hover text
Maybe by tooltip you meant the text left to it
But it isn't already patched
It is just already 64 bit
Anyways.
"your system is already 64 bit!"
anyways id like to ask about possibility on code mods as class mods have been fixed for mac, is that possible.
Anyways, to clarify, @faint mountain, the text in this screenshot that reads "Your system does not support a 64-bit Java VM." should probably be changed to be less confusing
