Followed the steps provided;
~ I took KnightLauncher.jar and put in my game directory, doubled clicked, it didnt work.
~ I then took KnightLauncher_mac_linux.sh and put it my game directory, ran it, it didnt work.

I am using;
~ NixOS 25.05 (Linux 6.13.0, 64b)
~ 32 Gb of RAM, 2 Tb of Storage
~ AMD Ryzen 7 5700X x 16
~ AMD Radeon RX 7600

Keep in mind;
~ I use to use Knight Launcher on my other PC, but since then Ive built a new PC and moved from Windows to Linux.
~ Im still really knew to Linux so you are going to have to be very specific and break things down for me since my experience is limited. Most of my Operating System was a project between many of my friends so I dont really have that much technical knowledge.
~ Since Im on Linux, I run Spiral Knights through Proton.
~ Projectx.log file included.

do you have java installed?

#

open a terminal window and type java -version to check

Yes, I do/should. I play many games and use applications that use Java. (Correction, I forgot that they run Java through a Sandbox, I dont actually have Java directly in my main system, I will get this sorted out later on since it will take a bit.)

Hi guys, I have a problem with the game telling me that my Java is no longer working, what can I do

frosty crow
#

Okay it seems that the line that runs the jar just doesnt work?

#

Specifically this line is what it is struggling with

# frosty crow Update, potentially more progress?

I was about to suggest running steam-run java -jar .steam/steam/steamapps/common/Spiral\ Knights/KnightLauncher.jar, but suddenly it's not working on my end. I did upgrade to 25.05 yesterday, so maybe that hardened something. Will tinker around and find a new solution.

Okay, well using the command you just gave me, I got this:

#

This is probably the most progress I have made so far since this is the first and only time I have actually gotten Knight Launcher (as an application) to even run and open.

#

Granted, it is an error message, but better than nothing. Also, I have no idea why it is saying that the .jar is the wrong directory when it's in the spot that the ReadMe says to put it, unless it is checking directories that do not exist on my system and getting an error from that, which is probably the case.

WAIT

I GOT IT

Ah cool. I got mine to work again by restarting.

It just would run the first few times of running the command but now it seems to work.

Tysm for the help!
