#Game Crashes frequently and randomly
1 messages · Page 1 of 1 (latest)
Try deleting SK folder by hand (not from steam library) and reinstalling from scratch
Otherwise, I'd say win11 is a hit or miss for SK
Do you use any mods?
What are your KL settings?
No mods, and as mentioned above, I've tried every combination of KL settings but haven't found anything stable enough to work
list your settings
Platform: Steam
Java 7 64-bit JRM
6 GB RAM allocation
Disable Explicit GC
Use in-game RPC
Anything not listed is disabled
That was the first thing I tried. It wasn't any more stable
Could see if the log shows a different error though
Yeah check that

?
Now that I think about it
I don't remember ever seeing any such exception
Does it appear every time
I'm working on that now
@primal goblet do you use any corsair peripherals? (mouse, keyboard etc)
Corsair Mouse
try unplugging it
and disabling it's software
and turn on the game
best if you swap it with some other mouse
I'm having another issue now because steam is having disk write errors
oh shit
So I'm gonna try and solve that first lol
nevermind then
you have a much fucking bigger issue lol

Mhm
Okay fixed that issue
Unplugging it means I don't get the error, but now I can't really control the game
but does it lag
There's no confirm button to close menus and such
do you have any backup mouse or something?
literally even the cheapest shit out there
No, there was never lag to begin with. The game would just crash
ohh okay
I misunderstood
my bad
okay for now try with a different mouse, if you have one
if not borrow or something
even a controller will do
other than that
try installing SK to a different drive
the freshest you have
I have a controller plugged in but it's not reading the controller inputs
is it an xbox/ps controller or some random one?
also remember you have to change the controls scheme to controller
in the settings
Switch controller
it won't work out of the box if you normally use mouse + keyboard
then it should work I think
Can't do that without another mouse
just change the controls scheme
isn't there a 5 second window before the crash?
or does it crash instantly
.
it may have to do with disk errors
they often cause heavy lagspikes, random crashes etc
especially if your drive is failing
also, do the issues occur with the controller unplugged?
I've made a discovery
The game doesn't crash with my mouse as long as I'm in windowed mode
what
If I go fullscreen it crashes
what in the fuck
I have no words
but...
solved?
what the fuck?
well
anyways
we can do a walkaround to have both windowed and fullscreen
either use in extra.txt
-Dorg.lwjgl.opengl.Window.undecorated=true
or
