Can not swap to the correct model with hotkeys commands | VTube Studio Headquarters | Page 1

im in a very frustrating dilemma in vtube studios when it comes to swapping models with hotkeys
I spent over 3 hours trying to figure this out on my own and cant do it.
im trying to do hotkey swap with models however my vtuber model has like a variation without a head for some reason and there is 2 of those.
but i got 2 others with the head for whatever reason. I want to just have a second color scheme for the second version and do a model swap on hotkey.
PROBLEM! It keeps switching back to the same model without the head i.e. the first one on the load out order. I renamed the two models as the colored files i want to swap between.
PROBLEM they're all named the same file name no matter what even if changing the name in vtube studios. ITS LITERALLY IMPOSSIBLE I even tried looking in the model's folder and I can not distinguish what belongs to what and if i erased it all im screwed. Im ready to just give up on the whole idea or switch manually during streams
also update, i even tried renaming the files
doesn't work
if anyone can get back to me on this and help me resolve this ill be happy about it, this has been a very frustrating experience

So, you're trying to do model swap but you have 4 variations and you can't find the right ones for the hotkeys?

the forth one got moved down for some reason after renaming it in vtube studios but name in drop box didnt change. but the 3 here, no matter which one i click on they all lead to the first vtuber model with out the head variation 1.

no matter which one i click on they all just go to headless model number 1

i even tried making my vtuber models as items to see if i can circumvent this by making the model disappear by hot key and having the item model appear in its place

but that didnt exist as a feature

for somereason the real model alternate color one has an icon of another vtuber model from steam workshop

but as item names u can see the names are different

yeah they're all celeste but i named the vapor shiro ones after myself so i can identify the two i want to use

well headless version 1 comes with shiro version 1 in same folder and same deal with headless version 2 and shiro version 2

headless 1 and shiro 1 are in DLC-SIT B and headless 2 and shiro 2 are in TEST

so the two pairs have their own folders each

Try putting all models directly into the Live2DModels folder

yes the thing is im worried if i remove anything from the file packs i will destroy the model as a whole cuz idk what is tied together

I don't think that's needed since it isn't a model rigging issue where I would need to test

but the models are not connected to each other, so there wouldn't be a problem if you remove the models you don't use from the Live2DModels folder and leave them on desktop or smtn

with having just 2 there should be only one option when you try to do the model swap

all model settings and hotkeys are saved in the .vtube.json file so even if you take them out nothing will break with the model

if you go 1 by 1 you'll know which one is which and you can name their folders accordingly
