#Possible to have a toggle change/evolve the more that it's pressed?

I'm curious to know if it's possible to set up a toggle to do more than one thing, like if it's pressed once it'll do one thing, and if it's pressed twice while the first press is still active, it'll change again into something different? I've asked this in the Live2D Discord in hopes of finding an answer there, but was redirected here. Perhaps there's a plugin that allows this to work, or just a solution I'm unaware of, but any help is appreciated!

For example:

I'm trying to set up toggles for this model's tamagotchi to "evolve" and go through five different evolution stages so the users chat can "feed" their tamagotchi with channel points to evolve it. I would love to consolidate it all into possibly just one toggle, or two so there's also a reset? I'm not sure if I've seen something like this before, but I wanted to reach out here to see if anyone had any knowledge!

(I just woke up so sorry if my words are sluggish xD)

#1 Hotkey Animation (maybe)?

I haven't tested this out, so I can't promise this would work; but if you would prefer to keep it all on one toggle where all the different modes are on different keyforms, then I think setting up an animation hotkey is possible. You might have to make multiple toggles in VTS depending on how many modes there are.

#2 Conditional toggles

In the case that #1 doesn't work, then you might have to set up multiple toggles on Live2D and rigged them in a way that when certain toggles/mode are activated, one takes priority (Unfortunately, a bit tedious- you would have to wary of all the combinations).

Example: lets say a model has two toggles; Mode A and Mode B. When Mode A is on, the model turns red; when Mode B is on then the model turns Blue. However, if both Mode A and B are on, I can rig the model to prioritize either turning red or blue. (or, you can make a whole new result entirely, like the model turns purple instead.)

Idk if this helps, but I hope #1 works ;w; I might have to try it out myself and get back to you to see if its possible or not.

So #1 do work, sort of 😅

You can rig the different modes onto the same param on Live2D (I did mine pretty simple, but if you want an animated transition then it'll be a bit more complicated) And then create multiple expression files for each mode.

Within VTS, you'll have to create a toggle for each mode (You can copy the settings here or adjust to preference, but make sure to click 'stop on last frame' or the mode will dissapear). I'm not familiar with the streaming aspect, but if you want your chat to "feed" the tamagotchi, then you'll have to set it so that the toggles go in order the way you want them to.

I hope this helps! If preferred, I can chuck the files I made in the video into here kspLove

WHOAA!! Thank you so much!!! Oh my goodness, I apologize for the delay!!! I had stepped away from this problem to work on other projects, and honestly didn't think I would get any hits!!!

I really appreciate you taking the time to troubleshoot this, AND even make a little video showcasing it!!! That looks to be EXACTLY what I was looking for!!! I know it's a bit late, but if you could send over the files if you still have them, I would really appreciate it!!! No big deal if you've trashed them already though! I can still probably figure it out from here!!!!

also, I'm not quite exactly sure how it works, but i've read somewhere about VTS only playing one animation at a time?? I'm assuming this means that if you have other animation toggles unrelated to the tamagotchi, they might clash 😭 But if you don't, then it should be fine! Good luck with your project!! ksPray
