When I’m streaming with a friend in vnet with a game that does have some heavy ish graphics for some reason the their model on my end stops moving and on their end mine stops moving but our own models move on our own screens. It does this after some time has pass by, like it is fine for about 30 mins then it just goes to crap. I don’t know if it’s a connection issue or what. I have been looking into this seeing if it’s a cpu issue or what cause at points I think the program messes up my pc too causing the pc to flicker black and kill streanlabs and vtube studio. I did update the drivers and such and I still run into this issue. I will note this issue has only happened with one friend and no issues with another friend. The one friend does live across the country so from me so I wondered if it is because of that? Just wondering has anybody else ran into this. I would like to be able to use to vnet 😦 it’s so cool

P.s. I just wonder if I’m over loading the pc. I have a strong gaming pc so I’m just shocked that I have the flickering issue. #vts-windows

Edit: to clarify sometimes the pc flickers and causes vtube studio and stream labs to die (freeze) or sometimes the friends model just stops moving. They usually happen in a either or situation. One may happen or the other may happen. I also have TITS open as well as another plugin while doing vnet. I’m not home atm but if my pc specs are needed please let me know.

How do I find my VTS logs?

Please navigate to the local files of VTS. This can be done in Steam by clicking on the ⚙️ gear icon then Manage > Browse Local Files (see image below)

If you are on Windows, please navigate to
VTube Studio_Data\StreamingAssets\Logs

If you are on Mac, please navigate to
VTubeStudio.app\Contents\Resources\Data\StreamingAssets\Logs

...and then find the most relevant log (probably the newest one).

Please definitely post your logs.

#

But flickering screens and Streamlabs crashing is usually what happens when your GPU driver crashes.

#

Are you on Windows 11?

#

You could try turning off "hardware-accelerated GPU scheduling" in your Windows settings, that has been causing issues for some people.

@grim merlin I rather not post my logs publicly here. Would it be okay if I sent them privately to you? I’m on windows 10. Yeah I updated my gpu and it didn’t crash this last time. Just the lag out model while mine worked. For the windows turning off “hardware accelerated gpu scheduling” do I still need to try that even on a windows 10?

@narrow iron heya, sorry for the delay. Do both you and the friend you were having issue with have the vnet dlc purchased?

#

well, probably more if your friend has it, given you didnt have issues with others vtubers but only with this friend

@narrow iron that only happened in the earliest logs, did vnet stopped working in both logs you sent me?

#

super weird

#

did you had any vnet call/collab with them since then? did it happen again by any chance?

#

tbh having one more log crash to compare would be helpful giving the... weirdness of all this

I'm still not quite sure how the limit is determined, the Steam documentation isn't clear about that.

#

Normally that shouldn't happen unless you have very large models.

#

Just to be clear, by "large models" in this case I mean models with a lot of parameters.

#

Because the parameter data is sent over the Steam network each frame.

#

If you keep having this issue, decrease the "Data FPS".

#

Generally, everything above 20 looks good.
