#VNet doesn't load my model?
70 messages · Page 1 of 1 (latest)
I think this might be the problem but I don't know what any of this means.
How big are your model files?
17.4 Mb
that's the entire folder?
Yes
Did you try with any other model?

I don't know if it matters, but my parameters etc are in japanese since I have a japanese model mama
yheah my friend said my model is smaller then theirs
I even tried downsizing the texture atlas but it did nothing
Have you used VTS since trying VNet?
I've used VTS before VNet and I bought the DLC etc.
For whatever reason when I join collabs I can see my own model and the other people's models, but they cannot see me.
this a screenshot from my end, but on their end I'm not there
Yeah that was clear
I'm asking if you used VTS after you tried using VNet with your friends to know if getting the right log would be a problem
oh sorry, yes I have used it after trying VNet
(in the case that denchi does need it to look into it ah)
yeah the only log that seemed to be an "error" when trying VNet was the one above but I don't really know what that one means. I saw there was a line with the word "VNet" so I thought maybe that was the problem
I DID have problems loading my own model because my expressions were in japanese but I since fixed that
could you look into the logs folder and see if you can find the one that corresponds to that session?
!logs
Please navigate to the local files of VTS. This can be done in Steam by clicking on the ⚙️ gear icon then Manage > Browse Local Files (see image below)
If you are on Windows, please navigate to
VTube Studio_Data\StreamingAssets\Logs
If you are on Mac, please navigate to
VTubeStudio.app\Contents\Resources\Data\StreamingAssets\Logs
...and then find the most relevant log (probably the newest one).
the errors for the /Birb/ folder were broken so those can be ignored. my model is the 20230303_1 named one
Thank you
Did not find file: "G:\SteamLibrary\steamapps\common\VTube Studio\VTube Studio_Data\StreamingAssets\Live2DModels\Birb\20230303_1.model3.json"
Does that file exist?
that file isn't the one I use it was a test model to change the texture atlas etc
Live2DModels\20230303_1
that's my model nam,e
I can see you changed your active model to Hiyori during the session.
Did that show up for the other people?
Yes
@tawny shale Could you DM me your model?
A zip file if possible please
@tawny shale It seems to work just fine on my side.
Maybe it has something to do with that Birb folder containing a broken model apparently.
Try deleting that entirely.
I deleted that file
Delete the whole folder, restart VTS and see if the model loads now in collabs.
I did a while back, that folder didn't even exist when I tried the collab
the first time I tried the collab that folder was never there and it still didn'tr work
That's not what I'm seeing in those logs.

I don't really see any upload errors there either though.
No, that wouldn't do anything.
Was this just in one collab?
Or did you try starting a new collab as well and it didn't work?
I tried it in several
Do you have a moment right now to give it a try?
I am in a valorant game right now but after I can
Won't be around much longer today, but when can give it a try tomorrow.
ok I can do it now then
I'll DM you
Hello! My friend and I tried vnet today and she had the same problem where her model wasn't loading for collabs but when she swapped to one of the defaults it did load. Should we start a new thread? 👀
