#VTS model lagging when streaming/playing graphically intensive games

I've been experiencing model lag issues with VTube Studio while trying to stream/play more graphically intensive games. This issue only occurs when streaming/playing games that generally demand higher system requirements.

I use a Logitech StreamCam and NVIDIA Broadcast Tracker.

I run VTube Studio as administrator and set GPU priority in the software. Generally my CPU usage is very high when everything is up and running. (OBS, VTS, and the game) I'm under the impression that it's a hardware limitation but wanted to troubleshoot the problem here in case there was something I'd missed before I consider upgrading.

My specs are 32 gb of RAM, an AMD Ryzen 5 3600, and a NVIDIA GeForce RTX 2060 SUPER.

How do I find my VTS logs?

Please navigate to the local files of VTS. This can be done in Steam by clicking on the ⚙️ gear icon then Manage > Browse Local Files (see image below)

If you are on Windows, please navigate to
VTube Studio_Data\StreamingAssets\Logs

If you are on Mac, please navigate to
VTubeStudio.app\Contents\Resources\Data\StreamingAssets\Logs

...and then find the most relevant log (probably the newest one).

(only a few seconds)

You need a log of when the lagging occurs?

Do you have one from when you were actually doing something in VTS?

Sorry, I'm not really familiar with what log I should be looking for specifically, this one is from the 27th which would likely be from when I attempted to stream with VTS and the graphically intensive game

Try using the "Set GPU priority" button.

#

You'll have to click that every time you start VTube Studio though, it currently auto-resets when VTS is closed.

#

But what that does is, it gives VTS maximum NVIDIA GPU priority.

Do you have to set GPU priority manually each time even when running as administrator? I'm starting to think it may be very specific to some games which isn't a VTS issue and more so poor game optimization

This used to happen automatically but I had to take it out since it was causing crashes for some users on a certain NVIDIA driver.
